Online Poker Player Rankings System?

I've been thinking a lot as of late to have a complete online rankings systems for the top online poker players in the world. I know a similar site at PocketFives has the most definitive one right now, but I have been in contact with them about possibly adding a ranking system from our very own site here at PokerOwnage. I think it would be great to have a ranking system similar to the NCAA, where there is an Associated Press Poll and a Coaches Poll. I'm hoping I can get more info put up on this very soon.

Well at least people are voting...although not replying to this thread! LOL. I haven't gotten word back from PocketFives, and I'm assuming I won't be. So we may have to get this Rankings System going soon -- just in spite of them...LOL.

ranking system is hard

you need to evaluate players on all sites. you need to track them on regular basis. you need to record all their winnings/buy-ins. ud need some sort of computer software to help you with all this information.

goodluck wiht ur quest though.. lol

ranking system would be badass though... and even if we did it just for private games on stars...

Although im not going to be playing too much poker online in the next few months, I'd love to see some sort of rankings system for POwnage, that'd be sick!

I'm not very computer savvy, so I really wouldnt know the first thing about setting up a database, but if you can get it done, Pino, more power to ya!

I really wanna attempt to get something like this up....that way theres at least another "official" source for "unofficial" rankings....if that makes sense? LOL.

Is there any way to have Stars Email you when members of the ranking site win? or you could have members make all pokerstars emails be automaticaly forwarded from thier email to you when stars sends them one. There may be some people who try to take advantage of this if they have to forward you the results.
